Why should we not use plastic one-use water bottles?
- these plastic water bottles do not break into smaller fragments over time
- the smaller fragments absorb toxins that can pollute waterways and litter streets and sidewalks
- in the ocean, sea animals, like turtles, think the plastic is jellyfish and eat the plastic
- this causes the turtles to die or choke
- plastic in general is the most widespread form of pollution
- inside of the water bottle, the plastic drains the water
- draining the water can cause cancer and reproductive problems
