Perseus wanted to get a gift for Polydectes’ wedding, but he could not afford anything. He got an idea for a gift… he would give Medusa's head to Polydectes as a wedding gift. He thought that he was capable of killing Medusa because he knew that he was a demi-god.

The island starts off when Danae is telling Perseus about how she was locked up in a tower by her father. At night, she would see a bright light come in. The bright light came and visited Danae at night constantly, and her father was wondering what was taking so long for her to die. He went up to check on her, and she was holding a baby, whom she named Perseus.
