Anti-Abolitionists believed that slavery should continue to exist for many reasons.
1. Slavery exists in every society because some work is so difficult that a free person would never consider doing it.
2. Slaves are not able to take care of themselves. These slaves have no idea how the real world works and they would not survive with the rest of the free people.
3. Getting rid of slavery would only happen in a utopian society. Completely ridding the country of slaves would never happen because slave owners would continue to operate with slaves in secret.
