Many women were inspired by the Second Great Awakening and it provoked them to fight for what they believe in. Many female abolitionists were shut down when they voiced their opinions because of their gender. That fueled their want for women's rights. Most women preached abolition because they found many similarities between themselves and the slaves since women's life were so restricted.
