mercials-Republican-funded-racist-ad-Asian-girl-struggling-speak-English.html

A 2012 Super Bowl campaign ad against Debbie Stabenow in Michigan was deemed racist for showing a young Asian woman struggling to speak English and thanking Ms. Stabenow for giving the Chinese economy more American money money and jobs. Many Asians took offense to the commercial not only because there is an Asian struggling with English, but also because she was riding a bike along rice fields.
All that is presented in the commercial might have been done to create a realistic Chinese setting and to emphasize the point of why not to vote for Debbie Stabenow.
