Texturing Techniques

Tools: Shears, Thinning shears, Razor

Point cutting: 

•1-1 1/2" into hair ends

•angle blades

•cut in v shape

Chipping:

•use blades to cut into perimeter, outside inward

Slide Cutting:

•slide scissors down hair shaft

Slithering:

•scissors in back combing motion

Twisting:

•twist 1" section 

•open scissor at bottom of twist

•slide blades through

Channeling:

•slide the scissor diagonally across the section till ends

Razor tapering:

•cut at 45 degree angle sliding the razor to cut

Back slashing:

•make circle section on top of head and back comb motion
