The beggar was actually Odysseus. Once Helen found out it was him she was afraid he was in danger. She was afraid he would tell the other Greeks and the Amazons would be killed. Odysseus said she would not tell her secret. Odysseus goes in the temple of Athena to sleep. A priestess walks by and tasts a sleeping drug he had. Odysseus replaces the Luck of Troy with a fake, then returned home.
