San Nicholas Island is located in the Pacific Ocean.Island fox and night lizards live on the island.Island of the Blue Dolphins Is based on a women.They call her the lone woman.She was left behind.Her tribe were sent to mainland.She was there for 18 years.Captain George Nidever and his group found her and brought her back to Santa Barbra.In October San Nicholas Islands climate is 100 degrees.The lowest record is 40.When the Aleuts came to San Nicholas the people from there were evacuated and their language became extinct.The steam-schooner California and her two whale catchers Hawk and Port Saunders Operated off San Nicholas catching about 30 fin whales.
