We are a non-profit International organization that helps support stay at home moms. As a part of this international organization we are encouraged to give back to our community. MOMS club of Midland decided that because of the huge population boom , strong economy, and lack of things to do in West Texas that a Touch a Truck fundraiser could be a big hit. We hosted our first event in fall of 2013 and our second in fall of 2014. Both were a lot of work, but ultimately were a big success. We plan on having our third annual Touch a Truck in the Spring of 2016.
What is a Touch a Truck?
Touch a Truck is a unique and interactive event that allows children to see, touch, and safely explore their favorite big trucks and heavy machinery, as well as to meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build the Midland/Odessa community. Vehicles on display include tractors, backhoes, emergency responders, tractor trailers, utility trucks, and helicopter. The event also features area mascots, food trucks, face painting, bounce castles, and raffle. There is fun for children and adults alike! All Ticket sales are donated to a charity of the Midland Chapters choice by member vote. A portion of sales from food and raffle items are given back to our chapter to benefit it’s members and/or continue our efforts with future community service.
Thank you to Our 2014 Sponsors and Participants
These people helped us raise enough money to cover all our costs of the event. They paid for and cooked the food we sold. And they brought out the awesome vehicles.

2013
Our Success Story 1st and 2nd annual event
Our very first Touch a Truck was the Second week in November and over 500 people from our community and surrounding areas came to support our fundraiser. We collected $2,590 for High Sky Children’s Ranch. A safe place for children who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or taken by the state for other reasons. They find foster homes and adoption options for this local children in need.
2014
Our second annual Touch a Truck was bigger and better with 10+ more vehicles included armed military and Police Swat vehicles, a helicopter and the West Texas Crawlers club to name just a few additions. We raised $2,654 for The Genesis Center of The Permian Basin. They are a crisis and relief center for women and children in West Texas. We were happy to deliver a check that we knew would help moms in our area who need support. We had over 500 people this year as well. Way to go Midland.
2016
We are planning on having the third annual Touch a Truck in the spring of 2016. With everyones support, it will be the biggest and best yet!
