Democritus

This Greek philosopher was named Democritus and lived and came up with the Atoms theory in the year of 440 BCE.

Democritus came up with a theory that if you divide an item so many times then it will eventually be too small to be divided. He named that un-divisable thing an Atom.

Democritus also believed that Atoms came in many different shapes and sizes.
