The Gupta Empire

aBout 500 years after the mauryans, the Gupta dynasty united much of india once again.

Under The Gupta, who ruled from a.d 320 to about 540, India had a golden age

⚫️ Gupta rule was looser than that of the mauryans.
⚫️ Trade and farming abounded across the Gupta empire.
⚫️ Under Gupta rule, children were educated in religious schools. They taught math, physics, language, literature and other subjects.
⚫️ Indian advances in math also left its impact on the world. Gupta mathematicians developed a system of numbers called arabic numerals and the decimal system (which we still use today).
