Why relocate & save these horses...
Ralph Morash has had these horses running wild on this land for well over 40 years now. He has personally made it his mission to save them from harm. Over the past 20 years he has purchased animals slated for slaughter & the physically abused. He has provided them a place to run free, without fear of abuse, fed them well throughout the winter months & made sure they where safe. One day, someone had taken it upon themselves to shoot one of the horses. The grey geldings body lay lifeless while Ralph looked on & cried. He did not stop once during the time it took to dig the hole to give this horse his final resting place. We are asking people to understand the truth behind these animals & behind the man who loves them. They are his life & he; theirs. West Hants has purchased the property in which these horse roam. This land was used by Ralph with permission until this purchase took place. Due to the natural lay of the land there is only a short time each year it would be safe for humans to move these animals. People could be hurt if this is not done properly. The land is full of sink holes & other natural elements dangerous to work around in half frozen ground whether it be high tides or extreme ice. Help us save these horses to honour a man who has dedicated his life to their welfare.
