It's been nine years since the Roman Republic officially started. I was just born 4 years after it started. For me it's not that big of a change. I am a daughter of one of the consuls, my father is Servius Sulpicius. I am one of three children and the only daughter. I have two infant twin brothers who are with our wet nurse right now until they are schooling age. Obviously I am part of the patrician class but it's not as great as people think. I am expected to be the perfect daughter, seen not heard, and to be married off sooner than later. No thank you. If I could I would give my fortune to others who need it more than me. I believe slaves and women should be treated as citizens, equally.
