NUCLEIC ACIDS

Nucleic acids store genetic information and transmit hereditary, or genetic, information. They are made up of nucletides which each contain a sugar, a phosphate, and a nitrogenous base. Two examples of this biomolecule would be deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA for short, and ribonucleic acid, or RNA.
