Government:
Feudal system, peasants and farmers were very likely to always stay at the bottom tier of society and it was very hard(nearly impossible) to climb up the economic ladder. Lord's owned the lands and generally had all of the power. The Lord ruled their own land for the King, who was above everybody and collected the taxes.
