The crust is like the cracked shell of a hard-boiled egg. It is made up of pieces called plates.the plates with land on top are called continental plates and the plates with oceans on top are called oceanic plates.

The earths crust is the outside layer it's made of solid rock .The mantle is the layer under the crust and is made of melted rock called magma. The core is the centre of the earth and the hottest it's made of iron and nickel
