1. He realized that they couldn't go without Johnny They needed him. Johnny was probably going to die. They couldn't visit him anymore, because he got knocked out. Johnny didn't want to see his mother so bad he got knocked out. 124-125
2. Dally was getting pretty good, but people are afraid he is going to come to the rumble. He also thought he had killed Pony boy. He had been burnt, and could die. He is going through feeling bad that pony boy nearly died and was scared. He wants to escape and hurt the socs. He is scared and wants to kill the socs for what they did.
