Order of operation

Order of operations

First thing in doing a order of operation problem is if there are parentheses, those are the ones you need to do first. Then, do all the multiplying from LEFT to RIGHT. Finally, do the rest of the adding and subtracting. Okay let's do 7(9x-3x). Forget about the 7 for a little bit, what is 9-3? It is 6! And we can't forget about the variable. So now it's 7(6x). 7x6= 42! Now our answer is 42x. These are easy problems if you remember PEMDAS.
