Character Traits

1) HONEST

[Scout]  "'Whats rape?' I asked him that night...He sighed, and said rape was carnal knowledge of a female by force without consent." (Lee,181)

This answer Atticus gave was very honest. He has high hopes they will come to him when they need answers, and always tells it to them straight. If I was a parent I'm not sure if I'd be able to be honest with my kids the way he is. I know for a fact I wouldn't know what to say.

2) UNPREJUDICED

[Atticus] "...You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view-" 

__[Scout] "Sir?" 

__[Atticus] "-until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."

Atticus supports equality. He teaches his children to think of things from others points of views.
