The Nucleus is like the Owner of the Restaurant
The nucleus is like the owner because they both control what happens in the cell or restaurant
The Nucleolus is like the Lender
The nucleolus and the lender are alike because the nucleolus creates ribosomes so that the cell can create proteins, and the lender creates money so the owner can create a business
The ribosomes are like the customers
The ribosomes are like the customers because they both produce something very important. The ribosomes produce proteins, which the cell couldn't survive without, and the customers create revenue, which the restaurant couldn't survive without.
The Golgi apparatus is like the baker
The Golgi apparatus is like a baker because the Golgi apparatus packages and moves proteins, while the baker packages breads and moves food in and out of the oven
The mitochondria is like the stomachs of the customers
The mitochondria and the stomachs of customers are alike because they both convert food into energy
The vacuole is like a freezer in a restaurant
The vacuole and freezer are alike because they're both storage places
The lysosomes are like the meat grinder
The lysosomes and the meat grinder are alike because they digest materials into smaller particles
The endoplasmic reticulum is like the delivery truck
The endoplasmic reticulum and the food truck are alike because they both transport substances
The cell membrane is like the doors
The cell membrane is like the doors because it controls what enters and exits the restaurant and cell
The centriole is like the waiters
The centriole sorts out chromosomes and the waiters sort out customers
