Conclusion Page

Gupta Empire

I learned that the Gupta Empire came into power in 320 A.D. Hinduism had a strong impact on Gupta Society and cultural life. The government was strong and central, and also gave power to local leaders.

Caste System

I learned that the caste system told people who they could be friends with, where they lived, what job people could have, and much more. The caste system was part of the Gupta Empire, Hinduism, and Aryan Civilization.

Maurya Empire

I learned that Maurya Empire gained power in the Ganges river valley and soon spread to most of Northern India, then to Deccan Plateau. The capital of the empire was Pataliptura. Chandragupta ruled and was very harsh, but the cities flourished.

Chandragupta and Asoka

Chandragupta led the Maurya Empire and was a harsh ruler. Chandraguptas grandson, Asoka, disagreed with his grandfathers ruling ways. Asoka sent out people to preach to others about Buddhism. Asoka created laws, these laws spread very easily because Asoka made various ways to get these laws around.
