Temperate Grassland

(Prairie)

Buffalo

Prairie dog

Animal adaptations are having legs and paws for digging to hide from predators. Another is endurance, because of the short plants the animals can see there predator and run through the short plants.

Low biodiversity, lower than the forests.

In 1930 the rain virtually stop, there was a dust bowl that spread a big dust cloud to New York City t 60 mile per hour wind, and killed crop and livestock. The crop and plants can grow very well because of the top soil. the top soil is very deep, about 6 foot deep. The plants there first adapted to the windy condition and grew deeper into the ground with longer roots witch held the soil down when weather brings winds and storms.

2 plant adaptations needed is one trees have evolved thick strong bark to withstand fire. Grass roots stretch far into the ground so they can use the gasses to absorbed the nutrients deep in the soil.

The human impacts have been over killing animal species to extinction. The humans start fires and burn everything that is in there path and thats how wild fires are dangerous.
