Color addition

introduction

Color is a function of the human visual system, and is not an intrinsic property. Objects don't "have" color, they give off light that "appears" to be a color. Spectral power distributions exist in the physical world, but color exists only in the mind of the beholder.

Color subtraction

This is initially filtration of a light source that absorbs a color, or part of the original color from the spectrum it contains.

The production of various colors of light by the mixing of the three primary colors of light is known as color addition.
