. The British were suffering major losses, with having twice as much casualties when compared to the Americans. The british also had much less people, (almost 2,000 less). It almost seemed like America was going to win this battle. That was, until German Hessians showed up. The american's sharpshooting plan fell straight down to the ground. Technically, The americans lost less men than Britain, but Britain remained on the field of the battle. So, we're all guessing that Americans retreated. This was another victory, added to the British.
