2. Cheetahs have adapted speed so they can catch their prey on the very bare surface of the savanna. There is no where for the cheetah to hide and stalk its prey so it needs the speed to catch its prey

1. most of the grass in the savanna absorb water better than most. They do this because there is very little rain fall in the tropical grassland

2. Most plants in the Savanna have very deep roots to survive the long droughts and to survive wild fires

How humans have affected the tropical grasslands

- Humans have taken over 25% of the earths tropical grassland. Humans use this area to farm. Since it has a wide flat range it is good for farming. Another problem we are causing here is urban development. We are taking too much of this land to develop

1. You can find almost every kind of soil in the savanna

2. Savannas cover almost half of Africa and large areas of Asia and Australia

3. The savanna can go for periods of time up to 6 months without a single drop of rain

4. Most of the savannas plant eating animals have gained the ability to hide from preadetors

5. The savanna has the most diverse soils out of all of the biomes
