Animlas OF THE TUNDRA

- seals have a lot of body fat to help them keep warm in the cold

-foxes have a similar feature. they have a lot of fur to keep them warm

-all plants in the tundra have short roots because of the permafrost. they only live about 60-90 days

- most plants grow together ( very close) to keep warm


the impact humans have had on the tudra

- Humans have caused the temperature to change in the tundra. this can have a major affect on eveything in the tundra


facts about the tundra

- out of all of the biomes the tundra can be the coldest and harshest environment

- the average temperature is 10-20 degreese

- the tundra is being affected by global warming due to humans

- the melting of permafrost is contributing to global warming

- the tundra has flipped a carbon sink to a carbon contributor


HOw have humans affected this biome

- Due to all of the air poloution humans create a lot of the tundra is melting. Most of the melting is taking place in the frozen soil (permafrost).


This is not a very diverse biome.
