Cantique de Jean Racine has been one of the most instructive pieces for me in this set. Although I have had some experience in singing in other languages, I usually did not have to change much about my vowels or where I placed the sound in my mouth. Having to work out a lot of the pronunciation problems taught me a lot about myself as a singer, and how I can manipulate my voice to sing in other languages without it having a glaring accent or ugly sound. It also reaffirmed for me the importance of practice, as I needed a lot of it to work through this song. It was all definitely worth it!
