Sensorimotor Stage- infants construct an understanding of the world by coordinating sensory experiences.

Preoperational Stage- Children begin to represent the world with words, images, drawings

Trust versus Mistrust- a sense of trust requires a feeling of physical comfort.

Initiative Versus Guilt- assume responsibility for their bodies, behavior, toys and pets.

Oral Stage- chewing, sucking and biting are the chief sources of pleasure

Anal Stage- child's greatest pleasure involves the anus or elements associated with it
