Attack In The Dead
Of Night

Early this morning and his confederate troops surprise attacked the Union fleet that has been keeping most Galvestonians out of work. This has caused a major drop in our economy and that ends today. At 1:00 AM this morning , Magruder fired cannons into the Union's ships which caused them to sink and retreat. We can rest easy tonight , knowing we get to start shipping our cotton tomorrow.

January 1st Named Magruder Day

As a token of appreciation to General Magruder, the town of the Galveston has officially named January 1st Magruder Day will be rembered for the hero of the Battle of Galveston
