Martin luther was a monk that rebelled against the Catholic Church. He thought that the catholics were doing wrong by selling the indulgences. So he rebelled and made the 95 theses. He made a group called the protestants.

King Henry the 8th was the major figure of the reformation. He wanted to have a baby boy to take his throne once he died but his wife couldn't have anymore baby's. He asked the pope for an official end in his marriage. The pope said no so he left and made his own church. He called his church Anglican Church.
