:Michael Jordan went to Laney High School.
: At 5'11" Michael tried out for the varsity team.
:He didn't make the team, this motivated him to get better and better.
: He played for the junior varsity team averaging at least 40 points a game.
:For the rest of his high school career he played the starting five for the varsity team.
