Erosion- to move sediments in various ways.

Types of erosion

the river moves the sediments through its currents and down the river which shows an example of erosion.

A gust of wind could pick up a sediment and or multiple sediments and move them like shown in this sand storm.

The roots of this tree
are and have been breaking down the rocks below it turning the rocks in to sediments. The tree breaks down the rocks because it forces through them with its powerful roots as the tree is growing.This shows weathering.

This image is showing erosion because sediments are moving throughout the river(which is why the water is brown) some of the sediments come from the sides of the river.

This Image is showing both weathering and erosion in action. When the water was at high tide it weathered rock. The water then carried the sediments down the river which is erosion.

This image is showing weathering because as the current is moving the water the water is hitting the rocks on the side and breaking them into sediments.

This image is showing a hole that has been burrowed by an animal, which has weathered the rock below it in the ground and broken them into sediments.

Gravity pulls on rocks and therefore moves them which is an example of erosion.
