📍From 321 B.C. To 185 B.C., the Maurya Empire was a vast, united empire.
📍First gained power in the Ganges River valley.
📍A new civilization resulted from the mixing of other tribes with the Aryans.
📍Later on, the Mauryan Empire conquers most of northern India and eventually to the Deccan Plateau.
📍The capital of the empire is Pataliputra, one of the richest cities at the time.
📍Education was important. Pataliputra had many schools and libraries.
📍During the Mauryan Empire, India was united for the first time.
