What is a gas?

Gas is a state of matter in which the particles are spaced apart from each other and are free to move where ever they can

In a gas, the particles are free and can float around, only, we can't actually see them. The individual particles are too small for even a microscope to see. Gas has no definite volume or shape. It can also be compressed and it can flow easily.
