The Second Station: Jesus Carries his Cross

The tape then continues to play. I see Jesus being escorted by Roman soldiers. They pull out a whip. The soldiers proceed to flog him. Once finished, they fashion a crown of thorns. As they do so, the tape zooms in on Jesus' wounds. In too vivid detail can I see the severity of it. I look at it in bewilderment. These look more realistic than ever. "Aren't you enjoying it?" started Lucifer, "I mean the clarity of it all. I replaced the television while you were moping around. May I also add that this HD is so precise that it feels like you are almost just there."

I look back at the screen. A soldier places the crown on Jesus' head and tries to balance it. It doesn't really matter, though. Even as it sits perfectly on his head, the crown hangs heavy on either side. The soldiers then hand Jesus his cross. He is now suppose to carry it.
