Eighth Station: Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

Along the path Jesus was walking on, there are women weeping in the street. They have children, all with grim faces, and are all obviously grieving for him. I can understand why, the words that Jesus has told them has affected many, including me.

The women go up to comfort Jesus. It is an endearing sight, watching these women comfort him on this treacherous journey. The heartwarming moment though, is soon broken as the guards command the women to step away, and have Jesus continue the path.
