The Masque of the Red Death's exposition in the story tells us that the Red Death is a very violent and lethal disease that is killing everyone in the kingdom so a man by the name of Prince Prospero had a party and he trapped all of his friends in his castle so he can escape the Red Death. The rising action in the story is when the author starts describing the seven rooms, and when the bell in the tower goes off to remind the people that they have survived one more hour. The conflict of the story is when the thing/man arrives at the party and kills Prince Prospero. The falling action is when the knights go to attack the thing they pull off the sheet and nothing is there and everyone falls dead. The resolution to the story is that the Red Death has won and killed everything
