BUCHENWALD CONCENTRATION CAMP
Buchenwald was one of the largest concentration camps in Germany. Located approximately 4.5 miles from the German city of Weimar, the people of the city were completely oblivious of what was happening in Buchenwald. After the liberation of the camp on April 6th, 1945, the American troops gathered the people of Weimar and forced them to march through the camp to show them what was happening so close to them.
