Allusion:

- reference to a well-known person, place, event, piece of literature, or artwork.

For example, when Romeo says, ""arise fair sun and kill the envious moon"" he is using allusion to compare the moon to the Greek goddess Diana who was often associated with the moon

Another example is the West Side Story play is an allusion to Romeo and Juliet

Another example for Romeo and Juliet is the Roman God, Cupid, for love.
