It spread through the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. People in Muslim territories were allowed to practice other religions but were required to pay taxes to Muslims. However, attracted by the benefits that Muslims received, many concerned into Islam.

Islam was founded as an expression of surrender to the will of Allah, the creator and sustainer of the world.

Islam was founded by the Prophet. Muhammad based on the here revelations he received from God. The community took shape around the Qur'an and its teachings.
