Parallel and perpendicular lines

Parallel lines:

Parallel lines are lines with the same slope

• Parallel lines never touch
• They have the same slope but different intercepts

Both of these lines have a slope of 3 but one line has a y intercept of -4 and the other one has a y intercept of 8. Therefor they are parallel.
