The Growth of Towns

In 1850, 13,000 people lived in towns, but by 1860 it jumped over to 26,000 people. San Antonio was the largest with more than 8,000 people. The built a two-story Menger Hotel in 1859.Houston made hats as one of the manufacturing facilities.
