The Chinese emigrated for many reasons. Many left because of corrupt governments which led to civil wars. Famine, poor working conditions and high tax were also factors in this decision to leave. After World War || there was another influx of Chinese immigrants . This influx mainly consisted of women in children heading to America to join there husbands and fathers.
