Limited stage-involves a combination of chemo with radiation
Extensive stage-chemo - 🌟🌟radiation therapy added only as palliative for symptoms
Such as dyspnea or for treatment of brain metastasis.

🌟may be used if cancer is found in one lung and the nearby lymph nodes

🌟this method uses drugs to stop cancer growth by killing cancer cells or by stopping them from dividing.

Treatment

Treatment is dependent on which stage the cancer is at, this determination is made
by the following:
✅Presence/absence of metastasis
✅Whether the tumor is limited to the thorax
✅Whether or not the tumor can be encompassed within a single radiotherapy portal
