Decomposition & the Nitrogen Cycle
Deposition is the geological process by which sediments, soil, and rocks are added to a landform or land mass. Fluids such as wind and water, as well as sediment flowing via gravity, transport previously eroded sediment. Decomposition is related to the nitrogen cycle because without deposition the nitrogen in dead plants cannot be exported in volcanoes or in factories over the years, so nitrogen would have no way to circulate.
The importance of nitrogen to living this is superb. Living things need nitrogen because they have to respirate and in order to do that they need nitrogen.
