Effects on the animals

Animals and the land can also be effected by blizzards in similar ways to humans. They can be stranded with no food or water in freezing temperatures. Pets and farm animals who are left outside or in a barn type situation also may be in danger of the building collapsing from all the snow. Also because of animals sensitive senses they know when the blizzard is coming before anyone else. This can cause harm to the animals because of the behavior they might take part in before the storm even hits. But also because of these senses animals are able to prepare if they have that ability. The freezing temperatures are by far the biggest harm to the animals followed by being stranded and stuck with nothing.
