One holiday that they celibate is independent day is on December 6
Finland became independent in 1917. Independence Day is a national holiday, which means that all the offices and shops are closed and there are no lectures at the university either.
The traditional way for students to celebrate the Independence Day is to form a torchlight procession from the University of Tampere to the soldiers' graves at the cemetery.
