Flappers were women who decided to change the common stereotypes. Due to the economic boom many things in America changed and the introduction of the 'flappers' was one of these. Flappers were women who wore a type of dress (in which the name derives from) and they drank in illegal drink parties called speakeasies and danced dances such as the charleston.
