Mexican Texans

Who: Jose Antonio Navarro, Juan cortina, santos benavides
Where: lived in or near San Antonio between the Nueces river and the rio grande, or along the rio grande from west of the big bend to El Paso.
When: 1850's
Why: tejanos became concerned that Anglo settlers were becoming more influential than the tejanos, and the tejanos have lived in Texas a lot longer than the Anglo american!
