Distinguishing Features

Jupiter has something called "The Great Red Spot", which is a swirling oval of clouds twice the size of Earth. It has been around for 300 years. Jupiter is the largest and most massive planet in our solar system. The Romans named their most massive planet Jupiter, which shows how it got its name.
